    OTTfilms Forum

The forum is the hub of the group. It's where we come together to plan and organise our filmmaking, share movie-making tips and arrange group meetings and social events.

While we are happy to talk about film in general, our forum is geared towards collaborative filmmaking. We are a community in our own right rather than an online filmmaking resource, chat forum or bulletin board. Please do not join the group if you do not wish to contribute to it.

We welcome anyone, at any level, interested in becoming part of the OTTfilms family and contributing to our filmmaking ethos.

The group is free to join. Please use your real name when registering and ensure you take a few moments to read the following important rules, which explain how our group works and how you should use the forum to your advantage as well as the advantage of others.

General Forum Rules

Please make your intentions clear. We are a filmmaking 'group' and as such we practice 'giving' as well as 'taking'. If you do not intend to help on other members' films but just want to fill a role for your film and leave, I'm afraid you have come to the wrong place!

Please put your real name as your Username. No nicknames! This only increases anonymity and prevents the group from becoming a close-knit community.

Please ensure that you fill in your occupation details. If you are not a filmmaker full-time, then please put your film related job(s) in this field (Producer, DoP, Writer, etc), instead of your day job (doctor, waitress, accountant, etc).

No Advertising. Your ad will be removed and you will be banned.

No verbal insults or slanderous comments. By all means let your views be known but Flame Wars will not be tolerated! So please do not resort to personal attacks on other members.

By the same measure: Racist, homophobic, or any religious or politically motivated threads are not welcome. If the topic does not relate to films or filmmaking, then please keep it friendly! Being part of this Forum does not protect you from personal responsibility and personal liability!

We are primarily here to make films. We will 'discuss' films also but this is not a Debating Forum, so please don't use it to challenge viewpoints of individuals at every opportunity.

If your film benefits from members or equipment sourced from within the group, please credit OTTfilms in your film as well as the individual and please ensure that both the individual and the group (John) receive copies of the completed film.

No links to pornographic sites!

The forum management reserves the right to refuse membership or revoke membership at any time. You are here by invitation, if you abuse that good will, your invitation will be invalidated!

The most important rule is also the most simple one: Have fun guys and let's make films!

Green-Lit Folder Rules

The OTTfilms (Green-Lit) folder is for OTTfilms only. That means that when the film is completed, it will show the OTTfilms logo up front and OTT will be able to screen the film for group promotional purposes on a non-exclusive, non-profit basis. You will retain copyright and distribution rights to your film.

Please do not put your films in the Green Lit folder when they are ready to film, unless you have agreed the above with one of the OTT Admin and you have had enough interest shown in the project, from it's original posting in the Ideas for films section.

Any Director who wishes for their film to be put in to the Green-Lit folder must first have worked on other films in this folder or commit (via posting your intent) to working on other films in this folder.

This group is based on trust, and trust is earned. If you want members to be involved in your film and you want OTTfilms to help get your film made, you need to return that favour...or rather, you need to EARN that favour!

To sign up to the group, click here and add your details. Please remember to use your real name as your Username and fill in your profile fully. If you have an avatar, it must be a current photo of you, and must be 100 pixels square.
