Synopsis
One of man’s greatest fears: a bathroom door that won’t
lock.
As far as we know it’s an old joke, overhearing one side
of a conversation, and drawing the wrong conclusion. In this film,
a man tries to use a public restroom, and after finding the cubicle
door won’t lock, he decides to go anyway. He then finds
himself in a conversation that could lead in a bad direction... |

| Director's Notes
We had hoped to shoot this film by the end of 2006, but everyone
still had so much work to finish on other OTT films at the time,
so we moved the shoot to March, 2007. We had originally intended
to have Kevin Magee behind the camera, but he had to go to the
West Indies for the television broadcast of the Cricket World
Cup. Chris Patterson stepped in, who has now worked with the director,
Michael Stanmore, on four films. Pete Wallington handled the sound,
and Harry Clegg assisted on camera, and took stills for the film.
In front of the camera were the familiar faces of OTT, Michael
Gerard and John-Christian Bateman, who had a great opportunity
to play with the lines and see what they could do with them. |

We shot at Shoreditch
Town Hall, on Old Street in London. It’s a beautiful location,
and it was a source of constant amusement to the proprietors that
we’d hire the Shoreditch Town Hall for a film shoot…only
to spend our entire shoot in the bathrooms. The bathrooms were
just what we were looking for. Large, so we could get the camera
back far enough from the action, and with older, creepier architecture.
We had hoped to be able to use this shoot as
a chance to induct some of the newer generation of OTT filmmakers,
but in the end, because of scheduling issues, it ended up being
all old hands. |
